Hiburan, Kabarterdepan.com – Unit New Wave Post Punk Kota Malang di bawah naungan agensi Haum Entertainment, re:NAN telah merilis EP Lost Consciousness pt. 2 kemarin, Jumat (19/7/2024).

Pada tahun 2023 re:NAN merilis EP pertama mereka Leaving Depression yang menandai perubahan mood mereka dari post-punk yang suram menjadi new wave/synth pop yang membangkitkan semangat.

Kini, re:NAN kembali dengan EP tahun kedua Lost Consciousness pt. 2 yang merupakan kelanjutan dari single tahun 2021 mereka “Lost Consciousness”.

EP kedua ini menandakan perspektif baru yang matang mengenai depresi dan krisis seperempat kehidupan. Meski re:NAN mengaku sudah meninggalkan nuansa depresif pada EP sebelumnya, ternyata masih ada persoalan yang belum terselesaikan terkait hal tersebut.

Single tahun 2021 “Lost Consciousness pt.1” ditandai sebagai awal perjalanan re:NAN sebagai sebuah band post-punk/new wave dan akhirnya mereka melanjutkannya pada tahun ini dalam bentuk EP sekuel, Lost Consciousness pt. 2.

Walaupun re:NAN mengaku sudah meninggalkan nuansa depresif di EP sebelumnya, ternyata masih ada hal-hal yang belum terselesaikan yang berkaitan dengan Lost Consciousness pt. 1. EP Kehilangan Kesadaran pt. 2 merupakan sekuel dari single “Lost Consciousness pt. 1” yang merupakan kisah dari sisi gelap seseorang tentang kehancuran di segala aspek kehidupannya.

Orang tersebut berharap semua aspek yang diinginkan akan berjalan indah pada waktunya, namun pada kenyataannya Mereka tidak melakukannya.

Di bagian 2, re:NAN menceritakan perjalanan berat 3 orang yang menjalani 1/4 hidupnya dengan penuh keyakinan dan rencana namun pada akhirnya perjalanan tersebut terasa hampa, kosong dan gelap yang dibangun memang di luar ekspektasi.

Namun ketiganya menerima dan menghadapinya sebagai sebuah kenyataan. Ada pula anggapan bahwa depresi masih ada, namun kali ini re:NAN lebih kuat menghadapinya.

re:NAN sebagai suatu kelompok meyakini bahwa setiap manusia pasti melalui fase kehidupan untuk mencapai usia 25 tahun, dan pada usia tersebut manusia mempunyai kepribadian yang berbeda-beda, karena perasaan, pengalaman, pendidikan dan lingkungan yang mempengaruhinya.

Berdasarkan pengalaman “quarter life krisis” dari Dwiki Wahyu Enanto (lead vocal/bass), Rizky Adha Dharmawan (gitar/sequencer), dan M. Rifki Rahman (synthesizer), mereka berharap EP terbaru mereka bisa menjadi wujud dari kesadaran akan hal-hal yang telah mereka lalui, dan yang telah mereka tinggalkan serta menjadi pedoman, kedewasaan dan sikap untuk kembali menjalani kehidupan yang benar-benar hidup.

Menurut Sherly Saragih Turnip, S.Psi., M.Phil., Ph.D., psikolog yang merupakan dosen Fakultas Psikologi UI, peneliti, dan ketua Research Group of Community Mental Health Initiative (RoCMHI), generasi muda di Indonesia sudah mulai mencari bantuan. Namun, di lokasi dengan akses terbatas, masih sedikit remaja yang mencari bantuan formal, seperti berkonsultasi dengan profesional.

Lirik EP ini sebagian besar ditulis oleh Dwiki Wahyu Enanto dan Rizky Adha Dharmawan, keduanya juga merupakan komposer, kecuali lagu “Cinta Abadi” yang liriknya ditulis oleh M. Rifki Rahman. EP ini direkam di Studio Grinhaus milik Rizky di rumahnya, kecuali “After Sunday”, “No One Save Me” dan “Eternal Love” yang vokalnya direkam di Haum Studio dan ditangani oleh engineer Dheka Satria.

EP Lost Consciousness pt. 2 bisa dinikmati di bandcamp pada 17 Mei 2024 via label Haum Entertainment. Untuk versi DSP berturut-turut akan dirilis single-single pada Juni Hingga Juli 2024. Full EP Lost Consciousness pt. 2 versi DSP telah hadir pada 19 Juli 2024.
